Hi, my name is Max! I am a PhD student in the Department of Plant Biology at the University of Georgia where I study how sunflowers have evolved to deal with heat and cold stress. Most of the time I am either performing experiments in the lab or doing data analysis, but I also spend a lot of time on science communication! In addition to my studies, I am also the Editor-in-Chief for the Athens Science Observer, a student run blog and zine that trains scientists to better communicate with the public.
