Titanium studded with silver and copper makes harvesting energy from the Sun more efficient
Incorporating metal ions into titanium dioxide creates better semi-conductor plasmonics
I am a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta. I’ve explored various fields from astrophysics, biophysics, plasma physics, and robotics in my love for interdisciplinary science. Now, I am working on plasmonics and the fabrication of nano-photosynthetic systems using noble metal nanoparticles like gold and silver to create “artificial plants” that may provide long term solutions to problems such as global warming, environmental sustainability, and the global development of novel renewable energy technologies.
