I'm a PhD candidate in earth and climate sciences at the University of Maine, where I'm researching the human health implications of legacy pollutants in glacial melt water. I'm a fellow at the National Science Foundation and Switzer Foundation, as well as a Department of Defense Scholar and Research Fellow at the Center for Climate and Security. I'm trained as a First Responder and have worked at the Office of Emergency Management in New York City, as well as Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University. I hold an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University, and received my BA in Environmental Science and Ecology from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
