Elysa Carr is a queer non-binary graduate researcher at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health in Melbourne, Australia. With a background in neuroscience, molecular biology, and genetics, their research looks at how proteins work together to allow neurons to communicate in the brain. They hope that, through queer advocacy and developing their skills as a science communicator, they will help bring more diversity, equity and accessibility to science.
